Giulia Vittoria Monti, Junior International Consultant

Giulia has re-joined New Frontier Services as a Junior International Consultant in June 2017, after gaining experience in NFS as an International Research Analyst from January 2016 to January 2017 . 
She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations (African-Asian Studies), from the University of Pavia, a MSc in International Relations (Security Studies) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a MA in European Studies (EU External Relations) from KU Leuven. She also spent a semester as exchange student at Umeå University, Sweden. 

Since joining NFS, Giulia has gained exposure and worked on different international projects, especially FP7 and other EU funded projects, particularly the EU- RDI funded Egyptian Renewable Energy Cluster Initiative (ERECI) and the FP7 frontierCities FIWARE accelerator project, assisting the Coordinator with project management and communication. Giulia is also supporting NFS on other core activities as trainings, business development and Calls for tenders. 

Before joining NFS, Giulia worked as International Junior Researcher Trainee for a Brussels-based international consultancy specialised in stakeholder mapping and stakeholder engagement activities, and worked on a number of FP7 and H2020 projects in different sectors, ranging from climate change adaptation, water management, food security and energy storage and for other framework contract projects with the European Commission. Previously, she worked as Project Assistant for a Brussels-based think tank devoted to EU-NATO relations and security and defence issues.
 
Languages: Native Italian speaker, Giulia is fluent in English and French, with a good grasp of Spanish and enjoys keeping on learning Swedish and Japanese. .
